THE ULITIMATE GO – KART CHALLENGE 2007

“The Ultimate Go – Kart Challenge” which was organized by Kathmandu Metro Round Table four at the Tiger Karts of Swaymbhu in Kathmandu on Saturday 26 May. About 96 participants from different corporate houses, travel agencies, hotels, banks, media houses and other private sectors had participants in the event. The event was organized for social purposes. The funds raised from the event will be donated to Jalapa Higher Secondary School located at Godavari for its developments, which was expected to be Rs. 500,000. The event had five rounds; Pre – Qualification; Qualification; Quarter – Final; Semi – Final and Finals. There were four participants in each Heat in every round and two from each Heat were selected to go though to the next round. In the Pre – Qualification round, there was twenty four Heat (four laps), twelve Heat for Qualification round (four laps), six Heats for Quarter – Final round (six laps), three Heat or Semi – Final (eight laps) and for the Finals, there was a slight different in the numbers of participants and laps. For the Finals, six participants compete for ten laps. With the Finals result for first position, Mr. Abhimanyu Golchha of Golchha Organization, Mr. Nitesh Gupta of Himalayan Bank Ltd. was second and Mr. Akash Golchha of Daihatsu was third. Beside this, Miss Kriti Begani of Begani Group was the fastest lady participant, Mr. Sambhav Sirohiya, the Youngest and Fastest Rider and the best category was given to Broadlink Pvt. Ltd. The event came to an end with the distribution of the trophies to all the winners by the organizer. The event was sponsored by Himalayan Bank Ltd., Surya Nepal and was supported by Gill Marry, Kumari Bank Ltd, The Himalayan Times, Carlsberg and Bank of Kathmandu.
